This will by my final book because I need to stop thinking of new ones and finish the now 5 I have already started on.
Twsited is about a young couple, Crystal and Marcus, who are the type of couple people envy. They're the hottest couple on campus and they seem like a perfect match. Both of them are drop dead sexy, popular and are always luvy dovy with one another. It also helps that he's one of the best college quarter backs in college and that his girlfriend is a cheerleader. From the outside they seem like the perfect couple, but not everything is as it seems.
Marcus cheats on her constantly and they always argue. But when Marcus wants to leave her, Crystal lays bombshell after bombshell on Marcus when he comes to her apartment thinking he's about to break up with her.
She also brings up a bombshell secret about one of the things Marcus has done that he thought know one knew about. She even has it on tape.
So what will happen? Will Marcus still leave her and take his chances? Will he stay with her? If he does leave, will Crystal really destroy Marcus like she says?
Also, you'll find out why Crystal is the way she is. What made her like this? How did she become so cold hearted?
And what happends when everything becomes twisted?
Preface:
“Say what?”
“You heard me. You know it wouldn’t look to good on an
up and coming NFL draft pick to be accused of rape
before he even gets a chance to make it into the pros.
You know how kind the media will be to a black
athlete.”
“You know you ain’t right! How you gonna do me like
this?”
“How can I, negro how can you do me the way you treat
me? I’m the one that’s been there for you. I’m the one
that’s been with you since the beginning. I was there
for you when you didn’t have anything!”
“Your crazy!”
“ Oh shut the hell up! The only one that’s crazy is
you if you think that you can just leave me after all
I’ve done for you. After all the crap I’ve put up with
you. Let me not even get into all I’ve gotten for
you.”
“You seriously are crazy yo! You can’t prove anything!
I’m where I’m at right now because of all the hard
work I’ve put in, you haven’t done a damn thing to get
me to where I am right now.”
“Oh you think? Trust me baby, I have proof, plenty of
it! I see I’m gonna have to go down memory lane with
you about what I’ve done. I didn’t want it to come to
this but you made me. Don’t forget negro, I made you
and I can destroy you.”
Chapter One
As I walked through the long hallway, filled with
clearly noisy and opinionated employees of the
magazine, I felt as if I was walking through the
valley of death. Having all their preying eyes watch
me as I walked down the hall into the senior editor in
charge that was going to interview me. I could hear
their whispers;
“trifling trick”
“gold digger”
“damn she fine, how the hell she end up like that?”
Even if they weren’t whispering comments back and
forth to one another or saying them under their
breath, the same words were written across their
faces. It felt like the longest walk of my life. As if
the whole world was watching me. It’s not my fault my
personal business was showcased across television
shows and magazine everywhere. I didn’t ask for this
exposure or having my business out in the streets. I
was always a private person, I never liked people
being able to predict what I’m about or my next move.
I always liked to be mysterious and keeping people in
suspense. But, I guess you can’t always have what you
want.
“Hello Mrs. Harrison” The editor greeted me while I
entered her nicely decorated office. You could tell
she had hired a designer to give it that stylish, high
fashion type of look.
“I’m now divorced from Mr. Harrison. You can call me
Crystal.”
“Oh my apologies, I should of known. I just didn’t
know if you kept your ex husbands last name since some
women do.”
“It’s understandable, simple mistake.”
“So, how are you doing today? Wonderful weather we’re
having isn’t it?”
“I’m fine and yes we’re having some nice weather
today. That’s why I like living in New York. Enough
with this, lets get down business, what I came here to
do.”
“Alright, but first I have a question. Why did you
decide to do an interview with my magazine? I thank
you for it, but I just find it rather odd that you’ve
given up hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions
since so many magazines have been dying to hear your
story.”
“Well, I’ve always liked your magazine. Beyond that, I
know this article will sell big time, considering the
fact that it seems like people are just eating this
story up. So that would mean a nice pay off for you.
But money isn’t everything, I trust that you’ll tell
my story the way I’m telling it to you. I honestly
don’t trust any of those other magazines. Those were
the same ones spreading vicious lies about me, so why
in the hell would I want to help them out?”
“Well thank you. You know, I wasn’t expecting for you
to be so nice. I hope that doesn’t offend you, but I
myself started to think that you were a horrible
woman. Until after the trial, I had no sympathy for
you. But now I really feel for you. I still can’t
believe how your ex did you like that. Even though I
still don’t condone some of your actions, I understand
that when we are young, we make many mistakes.”
“Well thank you. I agree, many of my actions were
wrong, shameful and make me disgusted. That’s why I
want to tell my story, so that maybe people can
understand why I did some of the things that I did. So
they can know fact from fiction and finally know who
Marcus really was and is.”
“Well I can say this, we’ve never done a feature in
our magazine like this ever.”
“Do you mean with extreme media coverage my story has
had?”
“Well, not per say that. Your story is going to be
very long, it’s going to be a double feature. There’s
no way we can jam pack all of this into one usual
length article. Also, I don’t think there has ever
been a woman or anyone that has rocked the sports
industry the way you have.”
“Yes I have haven’t I?” I said with a slight chuckle
“Yes you have. So, shall we begin the interview?” The
interviewer said what a warm smile on her face.
“Yes, go ahead.”
“So, where should we begin?”
“At the beginning. I don’t think anyone will ever
understand me or why I’ve done what I’ve done until
they hear why I did it or what made me become like
this. I also want to let people know that Marcus isn’t
anything like he seems.”
“Okay… so lets begin.”
“Alright. Well, I guess I can go back to when…”
